It´s
one of the most attractive and thrilling catches,the guide
and the fishermen will have to prove their skill in this
adventure.This specie has the particularity to eat at
irregular frecuency, so many times we can be over a shoal
of yellowtails and nothing will lure them.
The best time is since early December till May, when we receive the warm Brazilian currents. When they
arrive they are very hungry because during their long
trip they do not feed. This also happens at the end of
the season, when the sea waters starts to cool and they
go back to the brazilian coasts. |

So the best moments are when they are migrating,
in between these periods their feeding varys. The best
modality is trolling, different types of artificial
lures can be used, live baits and some other elements
that will help the fishing.
This specie do not always feed at the same depth,
so the skill of the guide is very important in this
subject. For that reason we will supply precise electronic
devices like ecosonds and a GPS. We need to cover a
determinated surface, because they use to stay feeding
in the same place and same depth, depending on the
day. Trolling is more complicated when they feed in the
bottom, between 18 and 30 mts depth.

yellowtails
bites, it has a hard upper and lower lip, but the hook can be easily removed.
